Acceptable use policy
Nashra is a newsletter and publishing platform for writers and businesses with an audience that chose to hear from them.
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everything you do on the Service — publishing, importing subscribers, and sending email. If you cannot follow these rules, you may not use Nashra.
The Short Version
- Only email people who explicitly opted in to hear from you.
- Never import purchased, scraped, harvested, leaked, or third-party lists.
- No phishing, impersonation, fraud, or deceptive content of any kind.
- Do not try to evade our limits, filters, or previous account actions.
- We actively monitor imports and sending, and we terminate violating accounts without notice or refund.
Consent & List Quality
Nashra is an audience platform, not a cold-outreach or mass-mailing tool. You may only add and email subscribers who gave you their address directly and expect to receive your content.
You may not import or send to:
- Purchased, rented, or traded email lists
- Lists scraped or harvested from websites, apps, directories, or public sources
- Lists obtained from data leaks, breaches, or any customer database you do not own — including customer records of banks, telecoms, retailers, or any other organization
- Addresses collected by a third party, a previous employer, or a client without documented consent to receive your emails
- Recipients who unsubscribed, marked you as spam, or never opted in
We may ask you to prove how and when any subscriber opted in. If you cannot demonstrate consent for a list, we may remove it or suspend your account.
Prohibited Content
You may not use Nashra to create or send content that:
- Phishes or steals credentials — anything designed to trick recipients into revealing passwords, banking details, card numbers, one-time codes, or personal data
- Impersonates any person or organization — including banks, payment providers, government agencies, delivery companies, or well-known brands, whether in the sender name, subject, body, or linked pages
- Facilitates fraud or scams — fake security alerts, “call this number about your account” callback scams, advance-fee schemes, fake invoices, or investment fraud
- Distributes malware, spyware, or links to harmful software
- Is illegal, defamatory, or violates the privacy, intellectual property, or other rights of any person
- Promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination against individuals or groups
- Contains sexually explicit material involving minors, or any child sexual abuse material
This applies regardless of language, and regardless of whether the deceptive content is in the email itself or on a page it links to.
Prohibited Industries & Categories
Because of high fraud and abuse rates, the following may not be promoted through Nashra even with an opted-in list:
- Get-rich-quick, pyramid, multi-level-marketing, and work-from-home schemes
- Unregulated financial products, cryptocurrency investment solicitations, and “guaranteed returns” offers
- Payday, title, or other predatory loan offers
- Illegal goods, counterfeit products, or stolen data
- Pharmaceuticals sold without a prescription or regulatory approval
- Gambling operations lacking the required licenses
- List brokerage, lead resale, or email-append services
If your industry is not listed but is commonly associated with deceptive marketing, we may still decline your use of the Service at our discretion. Contact us before signing up if you are unsure.
No Evasion or Circumvention
Attempting to defeat our safeguards is itself a violation, whatever the content. You may not:
- Obfuscate content to bypass filters — including zero-width or invisible characters, homoglyphs, look-alike letters, text hidden in images, or deliberately misspelled brand names
- Structure imports or sends to stay under plan limits, review thresholds, or free-tier caps
- Create new accounts after an account has been suspended or terminated, or operate multiple accounts to distribute abusive activity
- Use redirectors, cloaked links, or disposable domains to hide a destination that would otherwise violate this policy
- Misrepresent your identity, organization, or business purpose during signup or verification
Sending Standards
Healthy engagement protects your deliverability. As a guideline, sustained metrics beyond these levels will trigger review:
- Spam complaint rate above 0.1%
- Bounce rate above 3%
- Unusually low open rates suggesting stale or non-consenting lists
Every email you send must identify you truthfully and include a working unsubscribe mechanism, as required by applicable law (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and equivalents). Unsubscribes must be honored immediately.
Monitoring & Enforcement
We use automated systems, third-party anti-spam and fraud-detection services, and human review to monitor subscriber imports, sending patterns, and content for violations of this policy (see our Privacy Policy for details). New accounts and large imports may be reviewed before sending is enabled.
If we determine you have violated this policy, we may:
- Pause sending or quarantine imports pending review
- Suspend or permanently terminate your account without prior notice
- Withhold refunds for accounts terminated for fraud, phishing, or use of harvested lists
- Remove content or delete imported lists
- Report the activity to email providers, blocklist operators, affected organizations, and law enforcement, and cooperate with their investigations
For minor, good-faith issues — a stale list, a metric spike — we will usually contact you and work with you to fix it. For phishing, fraud, harvested data, or deliberate evasion there are no warnings: the account is terminated on first offense.
Reporting Abuse
If you received a suspicious or abusive email sent through Nashra, or believe an account is violating this policy, please report it to hello@nashra.ai with the full email (including headers) if possible. We investigate every report.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time, at our sole discretion, without prior notice. The current version is always available on this page. Continued use of Nashra after changes means you accept the updated policy.
